Enrolments
OUR SCHOOL ZONE
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). Approved entry criteria for our school are:
- students who live within the school zone
- students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
- students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.
All students seeking enrolment at our school must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment.
The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary for the subsequent school year.
Enrolment process
Our enrolment process is as follows:
- Check to see if you live within our school zone. This can be checked by heading to https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au
- Complete our online enrolment enquiry form to express your interest in enrolling your child at Barton Primary School
- Our enrolment manager will contact you to organise an enrolment Meeting
- On completion of this meeting we will advise you on the steps required to complete an enrolment application

Enrolment applications for Prep 2027 open from Monday 20th April 2026
Tours of our school will be available in term 2. To register your interest in enrolling your child or attending a tour please complete the Prep 2027 Enrolment Enquiry form.
